There are no shops or amenities on our doorstep – and that is just how we like it.

However, you can find everything you need within a short drive.

General Shops near Old Radnor

Hindwell Farm Shop – 2 minute drive

An innovative self-service vending machine shop stocking meat and other products produced on Hindwell Farm.

Co-Op Kington – 9 minute drive

A decent sized supermarket stocking all of the essentials. Free parking available at the store.

Escos New Radnor – 7 Minute Drive

A small, local village shop packed with essentials and treats.

Tesco Superstore Llandrindod Wells – 28 Minute Drive

If you can’t find what you need in our local shops, the Tesco in Llandrindod Wells will probably have it. Head East on the A44 and watch out for the sheep on the road when you cross the cattlegrid at Penybont.


Delis and local produce Near Old Radnor

We are lucky to have two fabulous delis in close proximity to Old Radnor, both selling fresh, local produce such as bread, eggs, cheeses and much more.

Number 25 Delicatessen Kington – 9 Minute Drive

You can park in the the free car park on Crabtree Road, next to the Co-Op.

Paul Lewis butchers is just a couple of minutes walk along Kington High Street.

Deli Tinto Presteigne – 15 Minute Drive

Free short-stay parking by Memorial Hall on Joe Deakins Road.

Also on Presteigne High Street you find a butcher and green grocer.


Coffee Shops Near Old Radnor

If you’re staying with us at the Harp Inn, we serve excellent coffee with our freshly cooked breakfasts. If you haven’t booked in yet, what are you waiting for? Come and stay with us!

Other nearby coffee shops include Border Bean in Kington as well as The Coffee House and Wild Thyme in Presteigne.


Eating out Near Old Radnor

You don’t need to venture out, we serve excellent food at the Harp Inn. We are open for lunch on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We serve our full evening menu from Wednesday to Saturday. Breakfast is also available for guests.

If you’re looking for something different, there are several take-away and dine-in options nearby offering a variety of cuisines.

Daphne’s Pizza in Presteigne is one of our favourites. You can eat-in or get a take-away.

If you fancy Thai food, Thai Kitchen in Kington is just a few minutes away. They also offer eat-in and take-away.

Another Italian option is Wild Thyme in Presteigne. They are open for a late breakfast, lunch and dinner from Thursday to Saturday.

A little further afield, but well worth the drive is Lal Bagh Indian restaurant in Weobley.


Fuel Stations near Old Radnor

The nearest petrol station to Old Radnor is Ascona Lomas Service Station in Kington, just 8 minutes to the east.

Presteigne Service Station is just a 12 minute drive to to north.

If your heading west, you can find the Texaco at Crossgates, a 20 minute drive away. There is also a cafe on site.
